Health Visiting Team
The team consists of three health visitors, a nursery nurse and clerk. Every family with a child under school age has a named health visitor. A health visitor is a nurse who has training in family and community health. They will offer support and advice to promote good health and prevention of illness for the whole family. The team is based at the health centre and can be contacted at the beginning and end of each day directly: 0191 607 3806. An answer machine will take your message at the times in between.
Blyth Treatment Unit
The treatment unit is situated in Blyth Health Centre, and is run by the district nursing team. Patients are seen by appointment only. To book an appointment call 01670 396 459. The team offers a wide range of treatment services including; General treatment clinic, leg ulcer clinic, doppler clinic, wound clinic, ear care clinic and continence management clinic.
